Can only be collected: Monday-Friday 6:00am - 12:00 pm (noon)

Specimens must be in the Adele Hall Microbiology Lab before 2:00 pm

Do not collect on holidays

Container: BACTEC Myco/F Lytic bottle
Volume: 1-5 mL, optimum 3-5 mL

Culture: 6 weeks
No Acid fast smear performed on blood/body fluids
