Instrumentation/Methodology
Culture and processing depend upon diagnosis and cell count. The cells are processed by exposure to colcemid and hypotonic solution, then fixed. Slides are prepared and GTG banded. Chromosomes analysis and image captured are performed on a computerized imaging system.
Additional Information
Identifies numerical and structural chromosomal aberrations with diagnostic and prognostic implications. Monitors disease progression and treatment related secondary malignancies.
