Additional Information
PCR amplification of 22 Short Tandem Repeat (STR) Loci (Penta E, D18S51, D21S11, THO1, D3S1358, FGA, TPOX, D8S1179, vWA, Penta D, CSF1P0, D16S539, D7S820, D13S317, D5S818, D1S1656, D2S441, D2S1338, D10S1248, D12S391, D19S433, and D22S1045), as well as Amelogenin and DYS391 for gender confirmation, is performed utilizing fluorescently labeled markers. Fragment analysis and host/donor DNA quantitation is performed with an ABI-3500 DNA sequencer/fragment analyzer. Analytical sensitivity to detect chimerism is 1-5%. The reportable range is 0-100%. Traces of chimerism may be reported.
