Additional Information

TCR (T-cell receptor) gamma chain gene rearrangement is used as a tool for detecting lymphoproliferative disorders. Detection of a monoclonal TCR gamma rearrangement is suggestive (but, not solely diagnostic) of a neoplastic process whereas polyclonality usually indicates a reactive proliferation.
