For patients >2 years without known or suspected pituitary disease
Short stature concerns? do NOT use this algorithm; order TSH & Free T4

Algorithm
Algorithm starts with TSH
- If TSH is normal: no further testing
- If TSH is high: reflexes orders for Free T4 and Thyroid Antibodies (microsomal and thyroglobulin)
- If TSH is low: reflexes order for Free T4
- If Free T4 is low or normal: no further testing
- If Free T4 is high: reflex order for Thyroid Antibodies (microsomal and thyroglobulin) and Thyroid Stimulating Immunoglobulin (sent to Mayo)
