Granulocytes are stimulated with Phorbol 12-Myristate 13-Acetate (PMA)
Measurements of unstimulated and stimulated granulocytes are compared.

Testing measures granulocyte oxidase activity which is useful in diagnosis of Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD).
