Special Instructions
The preferred handling for a tissue sample is to not add fluids; however, fluid media filled containers will be accepted for qualitative results.

Lab Processing Instructions
Specimen:
- BAL or bone marrow - transfer 1 mL to sterile tube and refrigerate
- tissue, tracheal aspirate, or urine - refrigerate
- stool - freeze
- plasma - spin, separate, and refrigerate
