Lab Processing Instructions

Specimen: acidified plasma MUST be processed within 1 hour of collection

  • Centrifuge 10 minutes at 3,500 rpm at 4℃
  • Aliquot plasma to a plastic vial
  • Adjust to a pH of 2.3 – 2.7 with approximately 10 uL concentrated (12M) hydrochloric acid per 1 mL plasma, and freeze
