  • Only available as STAT 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Monday – Friday
  • STAT at other times requires Sendout

 

Routine: 1-6 days

  • Batched testing completed on Monday and Thursday
  • Specimens must be received in Hematology by 9:00 a.m. to be included in the batch.

Specimen: plasma
Double spin and separate
Freeze if testing will not be completed within 1 hour of processing

 

Offsites:

  • STAT: Send plasma at room temperature with a STAT courier
  • Routine: Send plasma on dry ice
