Additional Information
If eGFR Creatinine is ordered a calculation will be performed with the CKiD U25 estimating equation using plasma/serum creatinine.
- eGFR Creatinine = k x (height/serum creatinine), with height in meters
- For males, k is calculated as:
- For 1 to <12 years old: 39.0 x 1.008(age-12)
- For 12 to <18 years old: 39.0 x 1.045(age-12)
- For 18 to 25 years old: 50.8
- For females, k is calculated as:
- For 1 to <12 years old: 36.1 x 1.008(age-12)
- For 12 to <18 years old: 36.1 x 1.023(age-12)
- For 18 to 25 years old: 41.4
- For patients <1 year of age eGFR will not be reported as equations are not validated for that age group.
- For males, k is calculated as:
Reference Ranges
90 mL/min/1.73 m2 or higher
