Pathology - Muscle biopsy

Collection Restrictions

Can only be collected Monday - Friday; 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Collection Requirements

Utilize biopsy clamps or sharp dissection
Requires 1-2 cm length by 0.5 cm width
Wrap fresh tissue in a saline dampened gauze sponge or Telfa
Place in sterile container labeled with correct patient identification

Special Instructions

Delivery to Histology (Room 2215.02) immediately
